AI is a tool that support creativity (not replace it)
AI in games doesn’t have to be a threat to creative work. Used well, it’s a support layer helping teams prototype faster, test more thoroughly, and ship higher-quality experiences.

The best studios treat AI like any other tool: clear rules, ethical sourcing, respect for IP, and human ownership of creative decisions.

AI that knows your game: MCPs, agents, and what actually works in 2026
Teemu Haila | Co-founder, CPO, Metaplay
Getting AI agents to do useful work on a live game is a context problem. The agent needs to understand your stack, your SDK, and the live state of your game, and for most studios that's where things break down. This session covers how Metaplay solves it by giving agents the right context out of the box, so they can plan and implement production-ready features rather than generic boilerplate. If you're starting your career in games, these are the skills that are going to define how studios hire and build in the years ahead.

Redefining Game Creation in the AI-era
Tatu Petersen-Jessen | CEO, Odd Latent
In this talk, I share practical lessons from both sides of that equation: leveraging AI coding agents as a development team, and designing an AI agent that serves as the creative engine for game creators. I'll cover what works, what doesn't, and why now is the time to embrace these tools in your workflow.

AI agents in game development
Markus Hjort | CTO, Bitmagic
At Bitmagic, we're building a platform where creators make web games simply by prompting. The platform itself was built extensively with agentic tools like Claude Code — and at its core sits another AI agent that writes gameplay code and orchestrates asset generation, animations, and more. In short, we used agents to build agents.

Raising for Games in 2026: what actually changed and what didn’t
Jere Partanen | Sisu Game Ventures

The funding landscape for game studios has shifted: smaller teams, AI compressing production, fewer active investors, equity financing being augmented with other funding models, and corporate investors stepping in with their own approaches. The funding landscape shifts constantly, and early-stage studios must be mindful of the available options for their chosen direction. This panel will help studios understand how early-stage funding works today by highlighting what has genuinely changed, what hasn’t, and how to hone in on the ideal financing strategy for the type of company you actually want to build.

Great Place to Work
The Finnish game industry is known for world-class games and the best results come from world-class workplaces
The Great Place to Work Award highlights studios that invest in their people, build sustainable cultures, and create environments where talent can do their best work over the long term.

This award is designed to be people-first and evidence-based, centered on the employee experience: trust in leadership, clarity of direction, inclusion and psychological safety, learning and career development, wellbeing, and healthy production practices.

How it works
  • Studios participate by registering and inviting their teams to share feedback through a confidential employee survey.
  • Finalists are selected based on overall employee sentiment across key workplace dimensions.
  • The winner is announced on stage at Finland Game Talent Fair 2026 during the award slot in the agenda.
Why it matters
The award helps talent identify great employers, supports studios in improving practices, and strengthens Finland’s reputation as a place where game developers can build meaningful, sustainable careers.

Want to take part?
Nominate your studio, become a supporting partner, or join the survey as an employee and help recognize the teams raising the bar for Finnish game workplaces.
